Broker Development Manager

ABOUT FLOCK

Road accidents kill and injure people, damage vehicles, and cost businesses fortunes. But traditional insurance does nothing to prevent them - it just pays out claims when they happen. At Flock, we’re changing that. Using telematics, AI, and real-time data, we proactively help our fleet customers prevent crashes. We obsessively focus on keeping drivers safe, and we put our money where our mouth is - paying out millions of pounds per year to fleets that get safer over time.

We were acquired by Admiral in May 2026. Now we combine the backing of the UK’s leading motor insurer with startup energy and speed. We’re growing fast with bigger plans than ever, and we’re hugely optimistic that our approach will save many more lives in the decade ahead.

We’re on a mission to make the world quantifiably safer. Join us!

THE ROLE

Our brokers play a crucial role in making this a reality. We’re an AI-first business, so whatever the role, we want people who reach for AI by default, stay curious about what it can do, and use it to work faster and think bigger. You’ll use AI day to day, from researching brokers to preparing for meetings, so more of your time goes on the conversations that win business. We’re looking for an ambitious and passionate Broker Development Manager to accelerate our distribution through brokers. In this role, you’ll maximise existing broker relationships and build strong, strategic, growth partnerships as part of our fast-paced distribution team right at the heart of Flock’s mission.

WHAT WE THINK IS MOST EXCITING ABOUT THE ROLE:

Be a part of building something truly game changing in the fleet market. You’ll manage a panel of key strategic brokers with significant growth opportunities. You’ll engage them on the market-leading benefits of Flock’s connected fleet proposition, and how together, we can reduce risk, improve costs and save lives. You’ll also have real freedom in how you use AI to work, whether that’s getting under the skin of a broker’s book before a meeting or spotting growth opportunities across your panel.

A LITTLE MORE ON WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Act as a primary face of Flock for a panel of key broker partners, driving mutual growth and long-term success.

• Deliver high volumes of broker submissions, directly supporting Flock’s ambitious growth targets.

• Build, grow and develop our broker panel, onboarding new partners at pace and maximising their commercial potential.

• Proactively engage brokers, finding new and creative ways to promote Flock’s appetite and proposition as we expand into new sectors.

• Develop and execute clear, data-driven account growth strategies to drive sustained performance.

• Achieve strong conversion and retention by supporting day-to-day trading activity and helping brokers (and Flock) win and retain business.

• Work closely with internal teams, collaborating with brilliant Flockers across the business to deliver shared growth objectives.

• Maintain strong broker advocacy by being visible, responsive and passionate about Flock’s product, proposition and mission.

• Use AI in your day-to-day work, from broker research and meeting prep to analysing your pipeline, so your time goes on relationships rather than admin.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FLOCK:

ESSENTIAL

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing broker relationships within the insurance sector, possessing a reputable standing in the industry.

• Energy and innovation in abundance - the ability to work fast, spot opportunity and solve problems.

• A proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, driving business growth, and closely collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve collective objectives.

• An existing network of broker contacts that will enable a rapid integration and immediate impact within Flock’s business development realm.

• Exceptional understanding of the commercial broker marketplace, competitor carriers, broker business models, and processes.

• Ability to deliver a consultative sales process, aligning Flock’s value proposition with brokers’ current and future business needs.

• Comfortable using AI in your daily work, from research and meeting prep to account analysis, and curious about where else it could help you win business.

PREFERABLE

• Experience building networks of brokers in a Commercial Motor Fleet setting.

• Have a broker distribution background with an active panel of brokers in the commercial insurance market.

• Can embrace new technologies and products, with experience of successfully distributing these to brokers.
