Business Development Director (m/f/d)

About the company

Since 2014, this Berlin-headquartered company has grown into one of Europe’s leading partners for premium custom signage. Its logo signs and brand installations appear in flagship stores, showrooms, hotels and offices for some of the best-known names in retail, luxury, automotive, hospitality and tech.

Through people, process and technology, the team is on a mission to become the first truly scalable company in the signage industry, with offices across Europe.

The next step is a dedicated new business function that wins Europe’s strongest brands. That’s where you come in.

The role

You’ll win top-tier enterprise clients and build long-term partnerships with leading European brands. This role is both hunter and strategic advisor: you open the doors, shape the deals and become a trusted partner to senior decision-makers.

Once a client signs, an experienced team of signage experts handles all project delivery, so your focus stays on pipeline, new accounts and growing relationships.

Tasks

What you’ll do

• Win large enterprise clients, from identifying the right targets to closing complex, high-value signage projects and partnerships
• Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at eye level
• Act as the strategic link between clients and the internal signage experts, writing sharp briefs and setting the right expectations from day one
• Develop market opportunities and spot upsell and expansion potential through a deep understanding of each client’s strategy
• Own the trade fair presence: choose the right events, show up prepared, and turn conversations into pipeline
• Visit clients on-site when it counts, at strategic moments rather than as routine check-ins

Requirements

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years in strategic B2B sales or key account management, with proven closes on complex, high-value projects
• Confidence at decision-maker level: credible and able to lead commercial conversations with the C-suite
• A hunter mentality with relationship depth: you open doors yourself and turn them into real partnerships
• Commercial sharpness: you understand margins, contract structures and complex procurement processes
• A structured, CRM-disciplined approach to managing your pipeline
• You listen first and understand what really matters to a client before you pitch
• Native-level German and professional English

Nice to have

• A background in brand experience, retail or shopper marketing agencies, POS and visual merchandising, shopfitting (Ladenbau), trade fair construction (Messebau), event agencies, or large-format production
• Hands-on experience with tenders, RFPs and framework agreements
• An existing network among brand, retail marketing or visual merchandising leaders in DACH

Benefits

What’s in it for you

• A product Europe’s strongest brands already love, so you open doors with a strong reputation behind you
• Zero delivery responsibility once you close, so your time goes into selling
• Trust, ownership and real room to grow
• An international, entrepreneurial and mission-driven team
• A founder-led company built on substance since 2014, with high ambition for growth and quality
• A dynamic, collaborative and open culture that stays professional
• A hybrid setup in Berlin
