Head of Finance (f/m/d)

Description

We are building a finance function that enables our next phase of growth. As Head of Finance, you will own finance end-to-end, laying the financial foundation for a scaling deep-tech hardware company – from reporting, controlling, treasury, and public funding to the financial infrastructure supporting global equipment deliveries.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with the leadership team, board, investors, and external partners to shape the company's financial strategy and operational excellence. This is a hands-on build role with a clear growth trajectory. Within your first 12–18 months, you will establish scalable financial processes, strengthen governance and controls, build a high-performing finance function, and create the foundation for international growth and future financing rounds. For the right person, the role offers a clear path toward CFO as the company scales.

Who we are

Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our strong, international team of over 70, including physicists, engineers, data scientists, and other experts, works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, supporting chip debugging and accelerating yield analysis. Backed by top-tier deep tech investors, semiconductor experts, and strategic public programs, we have ensured long-term stability, shifting from breakthrough to scale - and shaping the next chapter in chip testing.
