Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter

ABOUT FLOCK

Road accidents kill and injure people, damage vehicles, and cost businesses fortunes. But traditional insurance does nothing to prevent them - it just pays out claims when they happen. At Flock, we’re changing that. Using telematics, AI, and real-time data, we proactively help our fleet customers prevent crashes. We obsessively focus on keeping drivers safe, and we put our money where our mouth is - paying out millions of pounds per year to fleets that get safer over time.

We were acquired by Admiral in May 2026. Now we combine the backing of the UK’s leading motor insurer with startup energy and speed. We’re growing fast with bigger plans than ever, and we’re hugely optimistic that our approach will save many more lives in the decade ahead.

We’re on a mission to make the world quantifiably safer. Join us!

We’re an AI-first business, so whatever the role, we want people who reach for AI by default, stay curious about what it can do, and use it to work faster and think bigger.

THE ROLE

At Flock, we’re transforming the motor fleet insurance landscape with cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights. As a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver smarter, safer, and more cost-effective insurance solutions. You’ll leverage advanced analytics and AI to assess risk, optimise underwriting processes, and create tailored policies that meet the unique needs of our clients. Your expertise will drive our growth, helping us build a future where innovation and excellence in insurance are the norm. If you’re passionate about making an impact, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, and are ready to lead the charge in redefining fleet insurance, we want you on our team!

WHAT WE THINK IS MOST EXCITING ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll have the autonomy to manage and develop a large business portfolio, mentor junior team members, and significantly contribute to team targets. You’ll help unlock growth into new market segments, offering insurance solutions for emerging mobility trends, and support our ambition to become one of the UK’s largest fleet MGAs. Your expertise will drive growth and innovation, positioning us at the forefront of the fleet insurance industry. You’ll also work with AI in the underwriting process itself, using it to pull risk data out of submissions and triage cases faster, which leaves your time for the judgement calls that need an experienced underwriter.
